Bison Material Guide

Titanium
Fabrication.

Grade, Cleanliness And Service Environment Matter. Review Forming And Joining Requirements Before Specifying The Stock.

Material Options

Commercially pure Grades 1 and 2 differ from alloy Grade 5, also called Ti-6Al-4V. Specify the grade, condition and service environment, including any cleanliness or traceability requirements.

Common Sheet Sizes

Bison’s maximum sheet size is 60 × 120 in (5 × 10 ft). Common supplier formats include:

  • Grade 2 sheet: 48 × 120 in (4 × 10 ft)
  • Grade 5 / Ti-6Al-4V sheet: 36 × 96 in (3 × 8 ft)

Supplier availability depends on grade, condition and thickness.

Thickness & Process Fit

Send the required thickness with your drawing. We confirm the working range for each cutting, forming or joining step; sheet size alone does not establish processing capacity.

Forming and joining require grade-specific review and clean preparation. Air and nitrogen are not assumed suitable for titanium cutting; no standard titanium laser-cutting range is stated. Confirm the production route before ordering.
