Bison Material Guide

Brass
Fabrication.

Select A Brass Alloy And Temper For The Way The Part Will Be Formed, Joined Or Machined, As Well As Its Final Appearance.

Material Options

C26000 is a common choice for formed sheet parts. Annealed and half-hard conditions behave differently when bending. C36000 is machining-oriented and should not be substituted for sheet-forming brass without review.

Common Sheet Sizes

Bison’s maximum sheet size is 60 × 120 in (5 × 10 ft). Common supplier formats include:

  • C26000 annealed or H02 half-hard sheet: 36 × 96 in (3 × 8 ft)

Supplier availability depends on grade, condition and thickness.

Thickness & Process Fit

Send the required thickness with your drawing. We confirm the working range for each cutting, forming or joining step; sheet size alone does not establish processing capacity.

Specify the UNS alloy, temper and desired appearance. Review bend geometry and joining requirements, and identify chemical exposure. Bright, patinated and clear-coated finishes have different maintenance needs.
