Sheet, Plate And Structural Tubing Call For Different Specifications. Start With The Product Form, Service Conditions And Finish.

Material Options

Choose hot-rolled, cold-rolled or coated sheet for the application. A1011 and A1008 are common sheet specifications; A36 plate and A500 tubing are different product forms. Include the required grade and finish.

Common Sheet Sizes

Bison’s maximum sheet size is 60 × 120 in (5 × 10 ft). Common supplier formats include:

  • A1011 hot-rolled sheet: 48 × 96, 48 × 120, 60 × 96 and 60 × 120 in
  • A1008 cold-rolled sheet: 36 × 96, 36 × 120, 48 × 96 and 48 × 120 in

Supplier availability depends on grade, condition and thickness.

Thickness & Process Fit

Send the required thickness with your drawing. We confirm the working range for each cutting, forming or joining step; sheet size alone does not establish processing capacity.

Identify loading, weld requirements and the coating system. Allow for edge preparation before welding or painting. Assemblies intended for hot-dip galvanizing need appropriate venting and drainage details.
