Shop Safety & Responsible Work

Recognize hazards, report concerns and work within your training.

What You’ll Learn

Learn to recognize sharp edges, hot work and material-handling hazards. Practice following approved procedures, knowing when to stop unsafe work and ask, and reporting unsafe conditions: see something, say something. Work only within your training and authority.

Why It Matters

Recognizing and reporting hazards helps protect you and your coworkers, prevent equipment damage and keep work moving safely. Learning these concepts does not authorize machinery use.

Learn. Explain. Demonstrate.

Start by recognizing concepts, then explain them using training examples. Build practical evidence under qualified supervision before taking on responsibilities that require it.

Explain how to report an unsafe condition and recognize when work must stop.

This page is a learning roadmap, not a safety certification, assessment of an individual, or authorization to perform work.
